A group like minded person, belonging to the very lower class (income /resources wise and status wise in the social set up of India) came together with the social aim of upliftment of the downtrodden and destitute children living in and around the district of Pune and other neighboring towns.

Dapodi is situated about  8 k.m. from Pune railway station  on the main line of central railway and can be accessed by train and state transport buses running 24 hrs a day.

Even thought, Dapodi is sandwiched 2 leaving Municipal corporations (Pune Municipal Corporations + Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation) and lot of small scale industries and a numbers of employees took employments in the industrial zone.
